An iron-rich clay vessel is broken open and laced with rawhide around an Edison-style bulb. Light glows through the exposed interior, making fire feel held rather than contained. The work joins clay, repair, and electrical components.

Care, Shipping & Handmade Realities
Shipping Time
I live and work rurally, and the nearest post office is about an hour round trip. Because of this, orders are usually shipped one to two days per week.
Most pieces should arrive within one to two weeks, depending on where you live and when your order is placed. Each piece is chosen, wrapped and packed with care. Nothing gets rushed out the door.
Product Variations
Many Dirt Creature pieces are made in small families rather than exact duplicates. For functional pieces like mugs and ritual cups, yours will be close to the size, color and style shown, with the natural variations of handmade work. For one-of-a-kind pieces like bells, teapots, vessels and sculpture, the piece photographed is the exact piece you’ll receive unless the listing says otherwise.
Returns & Damaged Shipments
If your piece arrives broken, please send a photo of the damaged item and packaging to Richard@DirtCreature.com within 7 days of delivery.
I’ll refund the order or send a replacement if a similar piece is available.
I don’t accept returns on pieces that arrive undamaged.
Are the Pieces Food Safe?
Everything in Daily Rituals, like mugs, cups and other pieces made for use, is food safe. Sculptural pieces from Holding, Kept, Remnant and Previous Works are art objects and aren’t meant for food or drink. If a piece isn’t food safe, the listing will say so.
Are Pieces Microwave and Dishwasher Safe?
Daily Rituals pieces are microwave and dishwasher safe unless the listing says otherwise.
